Privacy policy
In short. Calendar Timesheet runs inside your own Google account. It reads your calendars, writes to the Google Sheet you use it in, and sends nothing to us. The only data that ever leaves your Google account is your licence key, sent to Gumroad to check it. No analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no server of ours.
Who is responsible
Calendar Timesheet is published by Pierre Chevallier, entrepreneur individuel, France ("we"). Contact: support@calendartimesheet.com.
What the add-on reads from your Google account
| Google data | What is read | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your calendar list | Name, colour, time zone and identifier of each calendar you can see | To let you choose which calendars hold billable time |
| Events of the calendars you choose, only for the periods being calculated | Title, start and end, colour, "busy or free", event type, status, and the guests and organiser (email address, your own response, whether a guest is a meeting room) | To count hours, match each event to a client by colour, calendar, title word or guest email domain, skip declined invitations, and count an event present in two calendars once |
| The spreadsheet you use it in | Only that spreadsheet (permission "current spreadsheet only") | To write and update the tabs it creates and keep your notes and extra lines |
| Your email address | Your own address | To send the monthly summary and alerts to you, and to tell your own response apart from guests' |
The add-on never reads event descriptions, locations, attachments or video-call links, never reads your email, contacts or files, and never creates, edits or deletes a calendar event.
Where your data is kept
- In your spreadsheet: the tabs the add-on writes (This month, Dashboard, monthly statements per client, Payments, To sort, Export, Log). Event titles appear there; guest email addresses appear only in the To sort tab, for events no rule recognised.
- In Google's storage for the add-on (Apps Script properties, inside your Google account): your settings, clients, rates and rules for that spreadsheet, and, for your account, the dates of your trial and your licence key with its last check.
Everything stays in your Google account. We have no access to it and keep no copy. It is deleted when you delete the spreadsheet; removing the add-on's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions stops all reading and writing.
What leaves your Google account
- Your licence key, if you enter one, with the product identifier, sent to Gumroad (
api.gumroad.com) when you activate it and then about once a week, to check that the purchase is valid. Gumroad answers whether it is valid, refunded or ended. Nothing about your calendar is sent. - Emails to you: the monthly summary, retainer alerts and the trial reminder are sent from your own Google account to your own address, through Google. You can turn them off in the add-on's settings.
Nothing else is sent anywhere. The add-on contains no analytics, no advertising and no third-party code.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Calendar Timesheet's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used only to provide the features described above, is never transferred to anyone, never used for advertising, never sold, and never read by a person.
Purchases
Licences are sold by Gumroad, which acts as the seller of record and processes your payment details, invoice and taxes under its own privacy policy. We receive from Gumroad the information needed to manage your purchase (such as your email address and what you bought), which we use only for that purpose and for support.
This website
This website sets no cookies and contains no analytics or tracking. Its fonts are served from this site. It is hosted on GitHub Pages; GitHub may log technical data such as IP addresses for security, as described in the GitHub privacy statement.
Support emails
If you write to us, we use your message and address only to answer you, and delete them within 24 months of the last exchange.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask to access, correct or delete the data we hold about you (in practice, support emails and purchase records received from Gumroad), and you may complain to the French data protection authority, the CNIL. Data kept in your own Google account is under your control: you can edit or delete it at any time.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published here with its date. A change that widens what the add-on reads would require a new authorisation from you in Google's consent screen.
